so, many of you know my awesome friend kevin coppa (he created puppetbenders, and cosplays a near perfect 10th Doctor)
he has been very busy with a puppetbender project… but this time not for youtube… for nickelodeon :) let me copy and paste his recent post for everyone here:

fellow fan feed back please…
i will be in the uk for 10 days… while i was getting some things ready early, i thought about all the fans i know that have never been able to have a plush Appa delivered to them because of steep international postage…
well… then i got an idea…
i could bring a plush Appa with me, and send it to a fan in the uk while i am on holiday. problem is… i can only bring one Appa. i am traveling very light because my trip will be full of trains, planes, and automobiles. i can not have more than one manageable suitcase. so i thought i would host a contest on twitter (for UK Avatar the Last Airbender/Korra fans) to help me choose the recipient of this soft treasure.
but, i am not sure if there will be enough UK fans interested in a sweet cuddly Appa… i am sure i can fit a few copies of Dark Horse’s The Promise 1, 2, and 3 into my carry on for 2nd or 3rd place winners as well.
so friends, what do you think? a little too ambitious? should i save future Appa giveaways for fan panels only, or try to share one overseas?

at this point, i admit my admiration for angela song mueller. let’s log this under another moment in “parenting done right”, as well as a brilliant example of Korra shall we?
A lot of the fanart that I’ve seen of Korra in the Avatar State make her seem vulnerable. I mean, she is, in a heart-wrenching way (and I love those), but I wanted to explore the idea of Korra’s Avatar State being wild, uncontrollable, and destructive—contributing to Amon’s argument on benders.

I just wanted to clear up this rumor, since friends and colleagues keep asking us if it is true. The origin was an article in Variety where the journalist speculated about “possible Nickelodeon products that could be turned into films” including our show, and a lot of other online news outlets…
thanks for clearing that up. now fandom… who is gonna rise to the challenge eh? hehe

so how was amon able to predict the movements of his opponent? was he more spiritually aware… or was he just “being the leaf”?
the truth is, amon’s special form of bloodbending could help him subtly control someone. he could move them out of his way without them knowing they were being controlled. amon possessed keen senses because of his heightened connection to his element. This helped him feel things most could not… this means that he knew tarrlok was about to end them both… and he let him

Truly a Korra”nation”
going over photos from sdcc… (not just avatar/korra events, but photos taken by other attendents…) i noticed something pretty awesome…
there are korra cosplays everywhere! would i be daft to say 1 out of every 20 cosplays was a korra? well, even if i am wrong about 1 in 20, i still stand by the fact that korra was a very popular costume this summer… for women, men, and children :)
