Another SDCC Avatar Fan Panel Update

From what I understand, the line for the fan panel on Saturday the 26th will begin to line up early in the morning. How early? Whispers of 5am, 6am, and 7am have been overheard…

If you do arrive early, do NOT enter the panel room… this happened once, and we had to clear rows of people. We are the first in the room that morning, so if you are in a good spot in line, you won’t need to try to get into the panel room before the panel organizers. Not sure if you are in a good spot in line? Well, our panel room holds around 420 people. Let’s say 400 people to be safe… if you feel you are in the first 400, then you will probably get into the panel.

When you are waiting in line, you will be in good company. Avatar/Korra fans are an amazing community. Friendly, compassionate, intelligent… and pretty funny. Once, Nickelodeon’s camera crews visited the fan panel, and had a great time talking to the fans who were waiting for the panel to start. I wouldn’t doubt they would try to visit with us again.

See you all soon! Keep an eye on the SDCC My Sched to monitor the interest of fans. The number keeps growing!

Have consumer tastes and habits changed that much in 100 years? Have authors themselves changed in the last 100 years? Why has the big book come to outweigh the short book in the hearts and minds of readers? Is the short book dead? Or just on a reprieve?

A data-based look at whether books are getting longer and why that may be so. (via bookriot)
